StanfordTax is eliminating the time-consuming and inefficient process of creating tax organizers for accountants and tax professionals with a platform driven by artificial intelligence (AI). The new features help eliminate inefficiencies and inaccuracies in the preparation of client tax organizers. The technology consolidates data from 30-plus tax source documents including 1099s, W-2s, K-1s and others, then integrates seamlessly with all major tax software to complete and send the client organizer.

StanfordTax enables accounting and tax firms to generate personalized client organizers based on prior year information for 1040s 1120s, 1120S’s, 1065s and more.  The software connects with tax platforms including Pro System FX, Pro Series, Ultra Tax, CCH Axcess, CCH Prosytem fx, UltraTax, Lacerte, ProSeries, Drake, and ATX.

“Adopting technologies with artificial intelligence is the key for accounting professionals  to reduce the administrative burden in their firms which will allow them to scale their firms  and reduce the time spent on each client during the tax preparation process,” said Dan Berenholz. “The tax preparation process in particular is an ideal area for artificial intelligence to be leveraged for efficiency, accuracy and productivity gains.”

Once a client submits their info and documents, StanfordTax generates an organized workpaper. Documents are automatically categorized and workpapers are bookmarked and ordered so that documents are easy to find. Client responses are automatically organized and every workpaper comes with a top-rated organizer, which includes all responses provided by the client.

The platform then generates a personalized questionnaire for each client including prior year numbers, detailed document checklists, and more. View the overview video of Stanford Tax here.
