Centri Names Christopher Mora as Chief Revenue Officer

Centri Business Consulting, LLC, one of the industry’s fastest-growing and most respected accounting and advisory firms, is excited to announce Christopher Mora, CPA, has been appointed to the position of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). This role is in addition to Mora’s current role as a Partner and the SEC and Capital Markets Practice Leader.

In his new role, Mora will assemble and lead a team dedicated to supporting the firm’s growth goals across service lines, industry practices, and target geographic markets. Mora’s team will work in close collaboration with Centri’s segment leaders to spearhead revenue initiatives while building meaningful relationships with clients. Mora will also help expand the firm’s market presence by working closely with segment leaders in bringing new services to market as well as fostering strategic relationships with channel partners across Centri’s footprint.

Mora received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Accounting from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania.

BDO USA, LLP Appoints Eskander Yavar as National Managing Partner of Advisory Practice 

BDO USA, LLP, one of the nation’s leading accounting and advisory firms, announced the appointment of Eskander Yavar as National Managing Partner of Advisory. In this role, Yavar will oversee the continued development of the practice as a significant contributor to the firm’s growth and its ability to serve clients holistically. This appointment was effective on Oct. 13, 2022. 

Yavar was previously BDO’s national manufacturing leader and national leader of Management Advisory Services (MAS). In both roles, Yavar prioritized excellence and transformation in the firm’s client facing work.

Yavar has been in the profession for more than 24 years. His breadth of experience includes the technical command associated with complex technology, supply chain, financial and operational performance improvements, and he has held leadership positions in the manufacturing, private equity and natural resources industries. Yavar’s high-touch approach has allowed him to form and operate highly effective cross-functional teams to develop and deliver client-centric solutions, including BDO’s Global Value Chain and IPO Readiness offerings.

Higginbotham Joins CohnReznick as Principal, Healthcare Advisory Leader

CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading advisory, assurance, and tax firms in the United States, recently announced that Shayla Higginbotham, MHA, PMP has joined the firm as Principal and Healthcare Advisory Leader. Higginbotham has extensive experience developing strategic plans, implementing financial improvements, and delivering transformative operational enhancements for numerous healthcare entities, including community and academic health systems, ambulatory care networks, and extended care facilities. 

CohnReznick is committed to expanding its Healthcare Industry practice to establish model solutions across the healthcare market. As the Healthcare Advisory Leader, Higginbotham will partner with a diverse team of professionals to guide the growth and development of CohnReznick’s Healthcare Industry Practice.

Before joining CohnReznick, Higginbotham was a Performance Transformation Managing Director for a major consulting firm. She earned BSPH and MHA degrees from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she currently serves as Assistant Adjunct Professor at the Gillings School of Global Public Health. Higginbotham is trained as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and serves as an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE).
