Michigan Association of CPAs Receives Caring Cultural Award

The MICPA was recently honored by the Auburn Hills Chambers as recipient of the Plante Moran - Caring Cultural Award.

The Michigan Association of CPAs (MICPA), a Troy based organization, was recently honored by the Auburn Hills Chambers as recipient of the Plante Moran – Caring Cultural Award. This award is given to a company who demonstrates a culture of caring for their people, customers, and community.

The MICPA said that it recognizes the need for joy, trust and innovation in a workplace. Staff members are equipped with mental health resources, one-on-one workplace morale check in meetings, fun day office outings, and cultural learning experiences to support the curing culture of the MICPA.

Supporting members is at the heart of the MICPA’s mission. As a member-based organization, the MICPA serves to help solve members’ problems, connect individuals, provide learning opportunities and encourage engagement within the CPA profession. 

In addition to the organization’s focus on its staff and members, the MICPA has partnered with several charitable organizations such as Accounting Aid Society, Hospice of Michigan, Association of Latino Professionals for America, National Association of Black Accountants, National Society of Black CPAs, Focus Hope, etc.
