The Bonadio Group Recognized as One of the Best CPA Firms for Women and Equity Leadership

The Best CPA Firms for Women are identified based on corporate initiatives and programs that support persistent progress in advancing female leaders.

The Bonadio Group has been named a Best CPA Firm for Women and a Best CPA Firm for Equity Leadership by the Accounting MOVE Project, an annual industry report sponsored by the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance. The project, which investigates the factors proven to be essential to women’s career success, found that the firm’s commitment to “career fluidity” has allowed for greater career advancement opportunities for its female CPAs than the majority of its industry counterparts.

The Best CPA Firms for Women are identified based on corporate initiatives and programs that support persistent progress in advancing female leaders. Additionally, those named to the Best Firms for Equity Leadership list have achieved advanced gender equity through any combination of culture, growth, and programs.

“The Bonadio Group is committed to supporting the ambitions of our talented female leaders with greater opportunities for career development and the continued enhancement of our DE&I practices,” said Bruce Zicari, Managing Partner and CEO of The Bonadio Group. “We will continue to foster a culture that promotes the professional growth of women at our firm, as each and every one of our people play a critical role in the success of our business.”

Currently, over one-third (37%) of the firm’s principals and partners are women, with a retention rate of 86% in the transition of female employees to the partner role (significantly more than the national average of 50%). The project also lauded the firm for its proactive policies to prevent burnout, including offering employees unlimited paid time off and adding a week off around July 4.

“Now more than ever, women need a third-party stamp of approval like the MOVE Project lists and the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance to find firms where they can grow and thrive. Traditional career paths are changing so quickly that firms can hardly keep up. The 2022 Move Project shows fresh avenues of advancement,” said Cindy Stanley, Executive Director of the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance.

The Accounting MOVE Project winners were recently honored at the 2022 Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance Conference on October 28. For more information on the project and to view a full list of honorees, visit the project webpage.
