Kenny Bonus, CPA, Financial Advisor – 2022 “40 Under 40” Honoree

• Obtained CPA License in 2013
• Reached Audit Manager position at Big 4 Accounting firm 
• Began Bonus Accounting LLC in 2016 and has grown it to a firm of 16 employees, two locations, and thousands of clients
• Became a licensed Financial Advisor in 2019
• Awarded the 2017 PICPA Young Leaders Award
• Obtained the 2020 Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics
• Awarded the 2021 Butler County Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year 
• Established a $25,000 Endowment with Slippery Rock University Foundation to provide perpetual $500 annual scholarships to Accounting Students

What are you doing to make a difference in the profession, your community, the world?

• Served as Butler City Councilman from 2016 – 2021
• Volunteered with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program 
• Serving on the PICPA Firm Liaison committee
• Regularly speak to Slippery Rock Accounting Society about the accounting profession and opportunities in the industry
• Currently Serving on several boards of directors to provide accounting and financial insight to the respective organizations
