Sarah York, EA – 2022 “20 Under 40” Top Influencer

Sarah worked in public accounting for 8 years. She began her career in California as a staff accountant and associate advisor for an accounting and financial planning firm. She earned her Enrolled Agent license in 2016 and later moved to Oklahoma, where she worked for a tax firm serving businesses and high-net-worth individuals. After three years, she accepted a role as a tax manager at an accounting firm in Washington state.

Sarah currently works at Keeper, a tax filing app that specializes in helping people with self-employment income. In this role, Sarah empowers taxpayers by democratizing tax advice in a way that is clear, empathetic, and reliable. She has written on topics including filing for undocumented immigrants; the tax implications of getting divorced; and best practices for tax planning. She also serves as an expert source for reporters, appearing in publications such as Business Insider and Money Under 30.
