The COVID-19 pandemic has led to social distancing mandates and quarantines at varying degrees across the globe. Many businesses are being forced to figure out how to run their business virtually in a world where face-to-face interactions are no longer an option. Accounting professionals, the backbone of the small business community across the world, are particularly impacted as they must find ways to continue operations and support their clients who need them now more than ever.
SmartVault, a leading provider of cloud-based document management and client portals for accountants wants to ensure the profession is receiving the support it needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company is asking accountants, bookkeepers, and tax professionals to take part in its State of Accountants Survey to help gauge the impact that COVID-19 is having on the profession across the globe.
The survey aims to better understand the current challenges that the profession is facing, how firms are approaching those challenges, their outlook on the post-COVID-19 future and to gather useful advice to share with the profession.
Smartvault is collecting survey responses through April 8 and will compile the results into a report that will be published later in April to help accountants better understand the current state of the profession. The brief survey takes 5-10 minutes to complete and for each response received SmartVault will donate $5 to support COVID-19 relief efforts via the Small Business Relief Fund and the National Emergencies Trust. Plus, all respondents will receive a complimentary copy of the report.
