Former PCAOB Executive Leader Patrick L. Brown Joins Weaver

Houston based, national certified public accounting firm Weaver, one of the 35 largest public accounting firms in the United States, recently announced the expansion of its quality and risk management (QRM) team with the addition of Patrick L. Brown, CPA, as a QRM partner. Brown will focus on assurance and advisory services and will be based in the firm’s Dallas office.

Brown earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Northern Illinois University and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management CFO Program. In addition, he previously served on the AICPA Expert Panel Subject Matter Training Development Task Force.

Jennifer Miller – A member of KSM’s Audit and Assurance Services Group, Jennifer helps ensure the accuracy and completeness of businesses’ financial reporting, including financial due diligence.

Nathan Potter – A member of KSM’s Business Advisory Group, Nathan works with clients in a number of industries with a focus in transportation and manufacturing and distribution.

Shane Schuh – A member of KSM’s Audit and Assurance Services Group, Shane works with clients to ensure accurate financial reporting and to maximize efficiencies, serving a number of transportation companies as well as clients in the financial services industry.

Michael Wipper – A member of KSM’s Audit and Assurance Services Group, Mike works with businesses to help ensure accurate financial reporting and to verify that strong and efficient control structures are in place across their financial processes.

Brent Lipschultz Re-Joins Eisnerramper as a Partner in the Personal Wealth Advisors Group

EisnerAmper LLP, one of the largest professional services firms in the world, recently announced that Brent Lipschultz has re-joined the firm as a partner in its Personal Wealth Advisors Group. He has more than 25 years of experience serving high net worth executives, family offices, board members of Fortune 100 companies, global investors, privately held business owners, celebrities and professional athletes.

Brent will be based at EisnerAmper’s New York City office and holds a B.S. in Business from Indiana University, J.D. from Chicago Kent College, an LL.M. from New York University and has participated in Northwestern University’s Family Enterprise Program.

Jordon Joins BKD Forensics & Valuation Services

Angela Morelock, managing partner of BKD’s Forensics & Valuation Services (FVS) division, recently announced the addition of Jim Jordon as a managing director for FVS in the Houston office.

Jordon has more than 20 years of experience providing business valuations for financial reporting, intellectual property, buy-sell agreements, federal tax and other regulatory purposes.

Before joining BKD, Jordon was a managing director at an international accounting firm, where he worked in valuation and transaction advisory services.

Jordon is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) and member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Houston, where he is a past president and current advisory board member. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station with a B.B.A. degree in finance.
