“James’ dedication to his profession, community, and clients is exemplary,” says GSCPA CEO Boyd Search. “His ability to adapt to the changes within the profession and find joy within new challenges will keep the GSCPA prepared for 2020 and beyond.”

During his one-year term as chair, Freeman is looking forward to working on the many initiatives facing the profession at state and national levels, including recruiting the next generation of CPAs, technological advances and their impact on the profession, working closely with chapters, membership engagement, Georgia government, diversity and inclusion, and any legislative updates that may come the profession’s way. He wants to continue the legacy that the Society and its leaders have built over the past 114 years.

“The Georgia Society of CPAs has been a true leader and ambassador for CPAs in the state, and I hope to strengthen that reputation by showcasing the talented constituents we have as members,” Freeman says.
