Three BKD Associates Win Elijah Watt Sells Award

BKD CPAs & Advisors, providing accounting and financial solutions to clients in all 50 states and internationally, recently announced that three of their associates; Michael Kimble, Benjamin Lyford, and Ashley McDowell have been awarded the 2018 Elijah Watt Sells Award, which recognizes outstanding performance on the CPA exam. Only 110 individuals out of approximately 86,000 exam takers in 2018 qualified for the award, which requires that CPA candidates receive a cumulative average score above 95.50 across all four sections of the Uniform CPA Examination®, pass all four sections on their first attempt, and have completed testing in 2018. 

Kimble, currently with the firm’s Louisville, office received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville, Kentucky, and an M.Acc. degree from William & Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia. Lyford, an associate with the Springfield office, graduated with his bachelor’s and M.Acc. degrees from Missouri State University, Springfield, while McDowell, working as an associate in the firm’s Colorado Springs office, graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with her bachelor’s and MPA degrees. 


Zach Sauder Joins Katz, Sapper & Miller as Director

Katz, Sapper & Miller (KSM) one of the top CPA firms in the U.S., has recently announced that Zach Sauder CPA has joined their Fort Wayne office as a director. Sauder currently is a member of the Audit and Assurance Services Group, helping clients avoid risk, while improving operational performance.

Sauder earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and has also earned the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation.

Dixon Hughes Goodman announces Samit Shah as new Transfer Pricing Principal

Dixon Hughes Goodman (DHG), a U.S. top 20 accounting and advisory firm, has announced that Samit Shah has joined the firm as a Principal in the Transfer Pricing Services Group. Shah is  currently based in DHG’s Atlanta, GA office, focusing on international tax services and global transfer pricing consulting projects for DHG’s clients.

Shah has more than 13 years of experience serving clients across a wide range of geographies and industries and currently holds an International Master of Business Administration from the Moore School of Business at University of South Carolina.  

Stanley Barsky joins EisnerAmper as Principal

EisnerAmper LLP, one of the largest professional services firms in the world recently announced that Stanley Barsky has joined the firm as a Tax Group principal, specializing in federal income taxation issues including mergers, acquisitions and transaction advisory services as well as advising clients on various tax issues.

Barsky will be based at EisnerAmper’s New York City office, and currently holds a B.S. from Vanderbilt University, a J.D. from the University of Miami, and an LL.M. from New York University. Barsky is also a member of both the American and the New York State bar associations and is considered a thought leader for numerous tax and legal publications.
