Sean Stein Smith, DBA, CMA, CPA, CGMA, CFE is an Assistant Professor of Accounting, at Lehman College (CUNY). Sean was awarded the IMA Young Professional of the Year award for 2016 at the annual conference. Sean was selected as one of the NJCPAs “30 under 30″ for 2015, and is an incoming member of the Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Board of Governors. He is also involved with the United Nations Academic Impact.

Sean publishes a weekly column for Inc.com, and is a contributor the Thrive Global. .Sean is a member of the Content Advisory Board of NJCPA Magazine, and has been featured in Accounting Today, Strategic Finance, IndustryWeek, Accounting Web, the CPA Journal, NJCPA Magazine, and numerous other publications. A subject matter expert on the issues of personal finance, Sean also serves on the AICPA Commission on Financial Literacy, and has been quoted, featured, and recorded extensively.

Sean contributes to the broader business community in a number of ways, many of which add value directly to those people that deal and interact with his involvements. He is a weekly columnist for In.com, where he publishes and writes a column focusing on personal finance, small business finance, and finance for entrepreneurs. Additionally, Sean is a contributor to Thrive Global, where he publishes articles focusing on the intersection of finance, financial wellness, and personal empowerment. He is also on the Board of Governors for Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he engages with young alumni and the business community at large.
