In 2015, I was promoted to director in the audit department of MBAF. This was a very proud moment for me, as it made me one of the youngest directors at the firm. Working now on some of our most significant accounts, I strive to continue to make a vital contribution to MBAF’s success. I provide direct supervision to the firm’s professional staff conducting audits and reviews of financial statements, with a focus on condominium associations, mixed-use developments, cooperative housing corporations, and timeshare and resort associations. A career highlight would have to be, when I was able to apply my expertise in forensic accounting and the cyber security field to plan and organize MBAF’s Cybercrime event in March 2017. I am also particularly proud of the work I do helping women in the accounting field get the professional development they need by serving on the Executive Committee of the Women of MBAF internal network.

After growing up in Puerto Rico, I attended the University of Puerto Rico. I am very passionate about giving back to the community that gave me so much throughout my life. I was recently elected to be the President 2018-2019 of the Florida Chapter of Puerto Rico Society of Certified Public Accountants, where I help advance the accounting profession and develop and promote lines of business in Puerto Rico. I served as the Vice-President from 2016-17 and President of the Florida Chapter from 2014-2016. During 2014-2016, I also served on the Board of Directors for the organization.
