  • 2000: Graduated from Butler University and started my career at the Big 4
  • 2003: Became a licensed CPA; switched to working in industry, and learned what it’s like on the other side of the public accounting table.
  • 2004: Joined a regional public accounting firm and helped build a department with unparalleled client service and camaraderie.
  • 2011: Recognized as a Woman to Watch by my colleagues, the CalCPA and AICPA.
  • 2011: Started my own practice bringing leadership development to the profession.
  • 2015: Published an accounting humor book (true!) titled Accounting Dreams & Delusions. I’m pretty sure it’s the best-selling accounting humor book of all time, beating out all the other accounting humor books you’ve heard of.
  • 2017: Honored to have impacted over 3,000 accounting professionals since starting my practice, advancing their leadership, communication and client service competencies. The highest and best use of my talents in the accounting industry is in this space, and helping my clients achieve in these areas is one of the top highlights of my career!

I’m on a personal mission to “kill the messenger” in our profession, and empower accountants to share their own feedback with colleagues, instead of through a 3rd person.

Locally, I support literacy, community, and learning, by serving on our district library’s fund development board. We raise support for 18 branch libraries that do amazing work like placing books on busses for kids who have hour-long rides to and from school.

I believe in the power of community, connection and candor which impacts us as individuals in the workplace and around the world.
