Vicenti, Lloyd & Stutzman LLP (Vicenti), a top 50 California CPA firm, has joined national professional services firm CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA), effective June 1, 2017.

“We decided to join CLA so that we could offer our clients deeper knowledge and expanded capabilities when they need it, while retaining the personal service and approach we have today,” said Linda Saddlemire, Vicenti managing partner/CEO. “We believe this is the right next step for our clients, our employees, and our firm in general as we continue to grow and evolve.”

For nearly 64 years, Vicenti has served individuals and organizations both large and small. For the past several years, Vicenti has been highly focused on growth in order to better serve its clients. This opportunity to join and grow with CLA allows Vicenti to tap into greater resources while helping to expand CLA’s capabilities in the Southwest region of the United States.

“CLA’s breadth and depth of knowledge in a variety of industries as well as its unique wealth advisory and outsourcing services will be incredibly beneficial to our clients,” Saddlemire said. “And Vicenti’s more than 60 years of experience serving the education, government, nonprofit, and commercial business industries, as well as serving individuals with their tax preparation and planning needs, is a great complement to CLA’s existing capabilities. Together we will provide better, stronger service to our clients.”

As one of the nation’s leading professional services firms, CLA has retained the agility to serve clients of all sizes and in all locations, while at the same time bringing an unparalleled depth of capabilities, all in one place.

“We are confident that while we are joining a large national firm, our clients will continue to receive the same personal touch they always have from their Vicenti team. CLA professionals pride themselves on meaningful client experiences and that completely aligns with the high standards of service to which Vicenti has always aspired,” Saddlemire said. “Likewise, CLA’s purpose mirrors Vicenti’s to ‘make a positive difference in our world.’ Together we will continue to advance that purpose.”

Under the terms of the agreement, Vicenti will assume the CLA name, and Saddlemire will continue to manage the Glendora office and assist Randy Wells, CLA managing principal of Los Angeles, in creating a presence for CLA in the region. The other eight Vicenti partners will also be joining CLA as principals or directors. Clients will continue to be served by their regular staff and Vicenti will continue to operate out of its Glendora office, located at 2210 East Route 66, and in Los Angeles at 555 West 5th Street, Floor 35.

“This is a great example of CLA’s commitment to industry specialization and it’s targeted approach to mergers, said Allan D. Koltin, CEO of Koltin Consulting Group, who advised both firms on the merger. “Vicenti is a major market leader in the area of serving the educational, governmental, and nonprofit niches. Together both firms felt they could grow these niches throughout a much broader geography and at the same time provide tremendous growth opportunities for the Vicenti team.”

“We are also thrilled to share that David Wall, JD, CPA, CFE, has been named principal in the CLA forensic services practice,” Saddlemire said.

Wall has more than 25 years of experience in litigation in Southern California, devoted exclusively to financial investigations and litigation forensics. He serves clients in financial investigations, litigation support, and expert witness services. The members of Vicenti’s strong forensic services practice will help expand CLA’s national forensic services offerings, and Wall will provide a key leadership role in this endeavor.

“David has been an exceptional addition to our firm and we are eager to see him lead and develop the forensic practice at CLA,” Saddlemire said.

“There is tremendous synergy between the Vicenti and CLA teams,” said Randy Wells. “Together, we remain committed to serving clients large and small, from individuals to the education, government, nonprofit, and commercial business sectors. We believe that when we offer deep industry knowledge and integrated capabilities, we can exceed our clients’ expectations. When we do this, we deliver on the CLA Promise — to know you and help you.”
