Intuit Online Payroll for Accountants offers easy online access from desktop, laptop, tablets and mobile phones. The Client Overview screen doubles as a dashboard of sorts, providing users with quick access to all payroll clients. Users can also access their own payroll from this overview screen as well.
Once a client is chosen, the screen is populated with a to-do screen specific to that client, which details all of the outstanding tasks that need to be completed prior to processing payroll. Intuit Online Payroll also offers complete branding capability. Automated reminders such as when a client’s payroll needs to be processed are automatically sent, ensuring that a payroll deadline is not missed.
Intuit Online Payroll supports direct deposit and handles after-the-fact payroll as well. Tax tables are available for all 50 states, and users will also receive an email when taxes are due; much like the email sent when payroll processing is due.
A good selection of reports are available in the product, with reports offering decent customization capability. Users can also export all system reports to Excel for further customization capability. Payroll reports offered in Intuit Online Payroll include Tax Liability, Tax and Wage Summary, Total Pay, Tax Payments, and both Vacation and Sick Leave reports. As an added benefit, users can create custom report groups specific to each client, ensuring that the appropriate reports are processed for each client/
Intuit Online Payroll takes care of all payroll tax compliance, and allows users to pay taxes electronically, where appropriate; producing tax payment coupons for state entities that do not permit electronic payment.
The product offers seamless integration with Intuit Time Tracking allows users to easily import time using Online Time Sheets or Online Time Clock. Users can also import any time data into the product from an Excel spreadsheet.
Intuit Online Payroll integrates with QuickBooks products including QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks for Mac. The product also integrates with other applications such as Sage 50.
Intuit Online Payroll contains an employee portal, which accountants can offer to their clients. Accountants have the option to offer complete access to all payroll functions, or can choose to limit accessibility to paystubs and W-2’s. Firm users can also offer their clients access to complete time entry functions, though employees do not have access to tax withholding or other pay and deduction information. Paycheckrecords.com allows users to quickly email clients and their employees when paycheck stubs are ready to be accessed.
Intuit Online Payroll does not currently offer any HR tools that are designed to integrate with the product. The product also offers accountants various marketing materials and customizable templates that can be used to attract additional clients.
