CYMA Payroll from CYMA is well suited for mid-sized businesses that have at least 50 employees. Though the product can be utilized as a stand-alone payroll solution, it works best in conjunction with other CYMA applications. Professional accountants that offer payroll services to mid-sized businesses with at least 50 employees may find the product beneficial as well.

CYMA is available as an on-premise product though users can opt to install the product on a hosted cloud environment if desired, though mobile access is not currently supported.

The main interface of CYMA Payroll is designed for expedited payroll entry. Users can choose the client that they wish to process payroll for, and using the Enter Quick Payroll function, users can quickly view all employees to be paid and make any changes. The product easily handles after-the-fact payroll using the optional After-the-Fact Payroll add-on, which integrates with the CYMA GL module. CYMA payroll offers tax tables for all 50 states as well as Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

CYMA offers excellent reporting options with employee, company, and period reports available including an Employee Listing, Employee Earnings and Deductions, Employer Balance Report, and all standard tax reports. Reports can be easily customized through Crystal Reports, which is available in CYMA. Standard report customization capability is available as well.

All CYMA reports can be emailed to designated recipients, saved as a document in an employee file, saved as a PDF, or exported to Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as HTML, and XML formats.

CYMA Payroll handles all tax reporting, including processing of federal reports such as 940 & 941 reconciliation reports, as well as state and local tax reporting. All reports are filed electronically where available, with CYMA offering both eFile and ePay capability. CYMA also offers an optional state payroll add-on that will fill out all state payroll forms. CYMA also offers integration with a variety of third party applications such as BNA Software, Specialized Business Solutions, TimeManagement, and Aatrix, which provides electronic processing and filing of both federal and state tax forms.

CYMA Payroll can easily import time and attendance data from most timeclocks, and users can opt to import employee information using a CSV file if desired. CYMA Payroll offers seamless integration with other CYMA modules including GL, AP, AR, System Manager, Human Resources, and Employee Self-Service. The Employee Self-Service module is a web-based add-on that allows users to provide anytime client/employee access to check stubs and W-2’s, and also provides an option that allows employees to enter time online. Employees can also view additional HR information online including vacation and sick time accruals direct deposit information and 401K contributions.

The product also offers an optional HR module that contains a variety of HR tools including the ability to manage employee performance, benefits, and also handle a variety of HU reporting options as well. Users also have access to key HR documents such as state payroll forms and employee forms.

Both help and support options in CYMA are excellent, with users able to easily access CYMA support options directly from the product. These options include the update center and the Online Learning Center, which offers a variety of training options including webinars, product guides and a variety of product tutorials. A subscription to the Software Maintenance Plan is necessary in order to access the Online Learning Center. A knowledgebase is available to all users, and technical support is available on an as-needed basis, or by purchasing a support package. MasterTax support is being added, as well.
