The partners of CohnReznick LLP, one of the top accounting, tax, and advisory firms in the U.S., have elected Frank P. Longobardi, a valued, longtime CohnReznick executive, to serve as the firm’s next Chief Executive Officer.

Longobardi will take office on October 1, 2015 when current co-CEOs, Ken Baggett and Tom Marino, step down pursuant to the terms of the partnership agreement. Both Baggett and Marino will remain members of CohnReznick’s Executive Board.

Currently a member of the Executive Board and Regional Managing Partner – New England, Longobardi and his wife will relocate to New York in the fall of 2015 where he will operate out of the firm’s national headquarters in Manhattan. He previously served as a member of the firm’s Go-to Market Committee, which oversaw the strategic planning for industry and service specialization when CohnReznick was formed in 2012 as a result of the J.H. Cohn and Reznick Group combination. Prior to that, Longobardi was responsible for all of J.H. Cohn’s industry groups, bringing standardization to the marketing, leadership development, and continuing education efforts of each practice. He joined the firm in 2007 when his own firm, Haggett Longobardi, combined with J.H. Cohn, helping the latter organization to dramatically expand its presence in the Northeast.

An active member of the community, Longobardi was a past chairman and currently serves on the Arthritis Foundation’s National Board of Directors and chairs its audit committee. He is also Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Conference for Community and Justice and a board member of the St. Francis Hospital Foundation.

“I am deeply honored to be chosen to lead CohnReznick and look forward to working with our people to achieve new goals in serving our clients and communities, shaping discussions around the issues that impact today’s businesses, and developing the future leaders of this firm,” Longobardi said. “Under Ken and Tom’s visionary leadership over the past three years, CohnReznick has grown substantially and is better positioned for success than ever before.”

“Frank has been a trusted and influential leader throughout his time at CohnReznick and I am confident he has the credentials, experience, and insight to move this firm forward and achieve remarkable results for our clients,” stated Marino.

“Frank is a passionate, Firm-first type of leader,” said Baggett. “In addition to leading our New England region for the past three years and serving on several national committees, Frank has always looked for ways to innovate and improve the quality of our client service across all areas of the firm. I look forward to continuing to work alongside him and supporting his vision for the future of CohnReznick.”

Longobardi holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and is a board member of the UConn Foundation.
