What are the key areas of your firm that have seen the greatest change/challenge in workflow over the past few years? (Or, what are the key challenges you see firms facing?)

Employee development and retention.

To what extent have you and your practice/company embraced cloud computing?

We are currently in the process of implementing Office 365.

In what ways have you contributed to your firm/company to make it a better place?

Participated in the 2013/2014 Leadership Academy sponsored by the ASCPA
 
In what ways do you participate in either the professional community or your local community to help others?

I am on the board and the immediate past president of the Mobile Chapter of the Alabama Society of CPAs; I serve as Treasurer for the Mulherin Custodial Home and have previously participated in the National Multiple Sclerosis Leadership class.
 
What major changes do you foresee in the accounting profession of the near future (3-5 years)?

Continued move to cloud based accounting, changes in generations and what they need to succeed will result in a change in culture and training in many firms.

How do you see yourself participating in shaping the future of the accounting profession?

Continued development within my firm and progression to partner, participation in the community from both business and charitable initiatives.

What is your career philosophy?

Career advancement while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Describe one person who has been an important mentor to you and how that person helped change your life.

Frank Brown, CPA (partner with my firm) allowed me the opportunity to take on challenging projects early in my career that tested my knowledge and learning abilities. I would not be where I am today without him.
