Information Technology Alliance Announces New Board of Directors
The Information Technology Alliance announced Board Chair Kevin Cumley, President at Forepoint, Inc., and Vice-Chair Annette Balgord, Principal, Affinity NFP has joined its Board of Directors as Board Chair and Vice-Chair, respectively.

The Information Technology Alliance announced Board Chair Kevin Cumley, President at Forepoint, Inc., and Vice-Chair Annette Balgord, Principal, Affinity NFP has joined its Board of Directors as Board Chair and Vice-Chair, respectively. ITA is an independent professional association comprised of most of the nation’s top 30 accounting firms, premier technology consultants and leading technology vendors.
Cumley and Balgord join new Board members John Bowles, CIO, Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP; Yvonne Scott, CIO, Crowe Horwath; Peyton Burch, Senior Channel Executive, Intacct; Kelly Hummel, CEO, Axis Integrated Solutions; Shawn Slavin, CPA, VP, CS3 Technologies; and Brian Austin, Director of Accountant & Industry Relations, Avalara. The new Board follows the recent appointment of Stan Mork as ITA President.
“This is an impressive and well-represented Board of Directors, and one which I feel strongly will guide ITA into an even stronger leadership position within the accounting technology community,” said Mork. “While we’re actively continuing to develop programs, sub-groups and curriculum targeted squarely at our members currently holding partner or executive-level positions at CPA and technology firms, a key area of focus for this Board will be the ongoing development of programs for a fast-growing younger ITA demographic.”
Mork brings nearly 30 years of experience at McGladrey to his new position, and is overseeing a resurgence of interest in ITA among 20 and 30-something professionals in the accounting and consulting industry. Cumley was instrumental in developing an emerging leader program in 2012, and has recently been appointed Chair of the ITA Young Leader committee.
“Up and coming professionals at CPA firms, tech consulting firms, and ITA technology vendor firms are noting the benefits of ongoing ITA participation – including professional development, mentorship, networking, and sharing knowledge in a trusted environment – and it’s these attributes that are specifically drawing younger members to our meetings,” said Mork. “We’ve created ITA conference tracks and groups for young members, and are now seeing the results. Our new Board is on firm footing for recognizing where ITA stands today, and the next steps needed to continue this effort to draw young professionals into ITA.”
