Ryan, a leading global tax services firm with the largest indirect and property tax practices in North America, wins Stevie Award for 2013 Company of the Year in the Accounting, Banking, and Financial Services category by the International Business Awards.

Nicknamed the Stevie Awards from the Greek word “crowned,” this International Business Awards program started ten years ago to honor companies that achieve outstanding performance worldwide. Ryan is one of 70 Gold Stevie Award winners in its respective industry and performance categories from the United States, South Korea, Turkey, United Kingdom, Spain, Canada, China, Australia, Singapore, Philippines, and United Arab Emirates. Gold Stevie winners were selected from more than 3,300 nominations received from organizations in more than 50 nations.

Many factors contributed to this prestigious honor, including Ryan’s successful implementation of an internationally recognized flexible work environment, called myRyan, which changed the measurement of work performance from hours worked to results achieved. This initiative has delivered tremendous dividends for the firm, its clients, and its employees. For example, Ryan has dramatically improved employee retention and satisfaction, while demonstrating solid year-over-year revenue growth.

The firm grew revenues 51% last year alone. Most importantly, Ryan employees have achieved the highest client satisfaction ratings in the history of the firm and became the first company ever to achieve the prestigious International Customer Service Standard Gold Certification from the Customer Service Institute of America. This exclusive, three-year certification is the result of an extensive review of Ryan’s client service and quality management processes, and independently validates a new international standard of client service excellence set by the firm.

“Ryan provides tax services to many of the world’s leading global companies, and continued international expansion is central to our growth strategy,” said Brendan F. Moore, Ryan President of Europe, Asia, and Latin America Operations. “This honor affirms our international brand and commitment to superior service and results across our emerging markets in Europe, Latin America, and Asia.”

“Although there are many factors that have contributed to our success, by far the most critical is our single-minded focus on client service,” said G. Brint Ryan, Chairman and CEO of Ryan. “Our firm is extremely proud to be recognized as a top company among the many outstanding organizations across the world.”
