QuickBooks referral network sees rapid growth

BigTime Software, Inc. has announced that its BigTeam referral network for small- and mid-sized accounting firms has experienced rapid growth since launching in 2012 and now extends its reach to more than 250 partner firms

CHICAGO— BigTime Software, Inc. has announced that its BigTeam referral network for small- and mid-sized accounting firms has experienced rapid growth since launching in 2012 and now extends its reach to more than 250 partner firms. The company is a provider of practice management tools for growing professional services firms,

“The response to BigTeam has been phenomenal, as we saw at this year’s Scaling New Heights,” says Brian Saunders, CEO and founder of BigTime, referring to the industry’s largest annual training conference for QuickBooks ProAdvisors, held last week (June 23-26) in Orlando.

“By creating a new kind of consultant network designed by and for accountants, we’ve given these entrepreneurial business owners what they’d been asking for: the potential for enhanced client relationships and new business opportunities, at no cost,” Saunders added.

The creation of BigTeam in 2012 is just one of the initiatives BigTime has undertaken to further strengthen its ties to the accounting market. Earlier this year, BigTime joined the BDO Seidman Alliance, a national association of independently owned local and regional accounting firms, and the firm previously announced signing an OEM licensing agreement with Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ: INTU), the maker of QuickBooks.

Network members say BigTeam gives them the power to more easily grow their businesses.

“BigTime is great time and billing software, so when the firm launched BigTeam, I was right there,” says Karen Dellaripa, CPA, one of the leading QuickBooks ProAdvisors in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area and owner of Schneider & Associates. “My very first client, when I started my business, I installed them on BigTime. Nothing works better with QuickBooks.”

The clients at Dellaripa’s regional accounting firm range from startups with one- or two-person staffs to growing mid-sized companies with 50-plus employees and revenues north of $20 million. “The robustness of the reporting, accessibility for employees to log in and enter time from anywhere, the overall ease of use — that’s the value of BigTime to my clients,” she says.

Among the biggest benefits of BigTeam, Dellaripa says, is the potential to grow her client base cost-effectively through the network, while receiving in-depth training on an app that can provide both her and her clients a competitive edge in an increasingly tech-savvy marketplace.

Dellaripa describes the impact the app had on the workflow of a client she recently moved from a crash-prone system to BigTime. “They’ve literally taken their business into the future. With BigTeam, I’ll be able to help more firms do just that.”
