KPMG, one of the world’s “Big 4” auditing and accounting firms, has announced that it will add 500 jobs at its Chicago office in the next five years.
The consultancy has about 145,000 employees worldwide, spread over the key areas of audit, tax and advisory. The firm’s Chicago offices are its second largest in the U.S., employing more than 1,800 staff.
The Chicago Tribune reported that the city’s mayor, Rahm Emanuel, was expected to make an announcement on the expansion on Wednesday. The paper also reported the company plans to make investments of up to $165 million dollars.
