AICPA Launches Online Version of Accountant’s Business Manual

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) has announced the launch of ABMonline, an online version of the Accountant’s Business Manual (ABM).

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) has announced the launch of ABMonline, an online version of the Accountant’s Business Manual (ABM). The new resource is intended to provide CPAs with quick reference and easy search options for 26 topics covering business, legal, tax and finance.
The print version of the manual has been one of the Institute’s more popular publications for many years, providing CPAs with a one-stop reference tool. The AICPA also announced the addition of two new authors providing content for the manual, Sidney Kess, Esq., CPA, JD., LLM., and Barbara Weltman, JD.

“This valuable reference tool contains essential information for CPAs who advise business clients.” says Kess. “In its new online format, ABM is an extremely useful resource for practitioners. The relevant information and search capabilities provide easy-to-find answers and solutions.”

ABMonline includes hyperlinked text with search capabilities from every page, along with an expandable table of contents and hundreds of downloadable tools and materials are available to users with the click of a mouse. This business tool uses understandable language for background, solutions and recent developments serving a variety of practice areas.

The AICPA is excited about the additions of Kess and Weltman as contributors to ABM. Kess is a nationally renowned tax expert and author of hundreds of tax books on financial and estate planning. He has written several AICPA tax workshops, audio and video programs and is chairman of the advisory board of Tax Hotline and member of the PPC Tax Action Panel. Kess is the recipient of the AICPA’s Distinguished Lecturer Award and Special Recognition Award.
Barbara Weltman is a top-selling business author who lends her expertise of tax and small business to ABM. Weltman is a member of the Small Business Advocate Brain Trust; serves as the Small Business Tax Expert for Staples.com; and serves on the advisory boards for Small Business & Entrepreneurship (SBE) Council, WE-Inc., and Boardroom’s Bottom Line/Personal, Tax Hotline and Bottom Line Retirement.

One year of online access to ABMonline costs $159 for AICPA members and is available to non-members for $198.75. ABMonline is available through www.cpa2biz.com.
