This product was not reviewed, but an overview is provided for informative
purposes. A recent addition to the tax planning market is a product from
TaxCoach Software (www.taxcoachsoftware.com),
which produces a self-named online program that professionals can use to develop
personalized tax plans for their clients. After entering client financial data,
the system makes a recommendation of one of 111 strategies (with reference to
IRC and Regs) and provides firm-customizable, presentation-quality reports with
client-readable content, charts, tables and graphics.
TaxCoach is extremely easy to use and costs just $50 per month for a single
user with any number of clients, but with a somewhat limited scope, it is probably
best suited for simple 1040 clients.
