Tax preparation and real estate software developer HowardSoft (www.howardsoft.com) continues to increase its forms support, more than doubling last year’s number, and adding new ones as requested by customers. “Because we’ve doubled the amount of forms, our users will have the ability to prepare the most complex forms and e-file them, rarely having to prepare any manually,” said Maril Sowell, general manager of HowardSoft. The Standard Level of the preparation program now also includes the following:
IRS-approved graphic printouts for all forms
Built-in e-filing capabilities with lower transmission fees
Form 8880 for automatic credit for IRA contributions
In addition, the Premium Level includes more detailed diagnostic reports and enhanced client management functions Ms. Sowell noted that the enhanced client management features “will enable preparers to look more professional to their clients, while spending less time juggling files.”
