CPA Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

Awards Ceremony Held in Arlington, VA on June 11, 2013

CohnReznick, the 11th largest tax, accounting and advisory firm, announced that David Reznick, co-founder and former chairman of the board of CohnReznick predecessor, Reznick Group, has received the Housing Association of Nonprofit Developers (HAND) Lifetime Achievement Award. Reznick accepted the lifetime achievement honor on June 11, 2013 at the 2013 HAND Annual Meeting & Housing Expo held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA.

As part of its Annual Housing Achievement Awards program, the Housing Association of Nonprofit Developers’ Board of Directors created the President’s Award in 2003, to recognize the most innovative housing developments, programs and solutions across the metropolitan region. The President’s Award is presented for lifetime achievement or for exemplary service to affordable housing.

“David Reznick’s leadership and competency in demystifying the complexities of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit, a critical tool used to develop and preserve affordable housing, gave the nonprofit sector the confidence to use this tool to further its mission,” said Nina Janopaul, President, HAND.

Reznick was co-founder and chairman of the board of Reznick Group, P.C. before combining with J.H. Cohn in 2012. Since being first established in 1977 as Reznick Fedder and Silverman, Reznick Group grew from one office to a top 20 CPA firm with offices nationwide. Now with the combination with J.H. Cohn, CohnReznick is the 11th largest CPA firm in the U.S. David provides direct services to a range of real estate clients, including developers, syndicators and lending

Reznick earned a B.S., Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
