The ‘Motherhood Penalty’: Mothers Earned 35% Less Than Fathers in 2024
A new Bankrate analysis of Census Bureau Current Population Survey data reveals full-time working fathers earned 35% more in wages than mothers working full-time in 2024, a wider disparity than in 2023 and 2022.
