Roody Metelus, 47, of Broward County, FL, has pleaded guilty to his involvement in a scheme where he submitted hundreds of fraudulent COVID-19 loan applications during the pandemic, amounting to more than $4 million.

Sharhabeel Shreiteh of Crete, IL, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison Tuesday in a massive, $14 million fraud scheme where he collected kickbacks for filing more than 1,500 bogus loan applications at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yasir G. Hamed, 60, of Woodbridge, CT, who was convicted of defrauding a COVID-19 pandemic relief program of more than $2.3 million, was sentenced Dec. 15 to two years and eight months in prison.

Harold Dotson, 54, of Gaithersburg, MD, was also sentenced to three years of supervised release, including six months of home confinement, and ordered to pay $24.8 million in restitution for submitting fraudulent CARES Act loan applications.
