Yasir G. Hamed, 60, of Woodbridge, CT, who was convicted of defrauding a COVID-19 pandemic relief program of more than $2.3 million, was sentenced Dec. 15 to two years and eight months in prison.

Harold Dotson, 54, of Gaithersburg, MD, was also sentenced to three years of supervised release, including six months of home confinement, and ordered to pay $24.8 million in restitution for submitting fraudulent CARES Act loan applications.

As part of his plea agreement, Adenisimi also admitted to fraudulently obtaining two Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans totaling $760,415.
