Accion Opportunity Fund (AOF), the nation’s leading nonprofit providing small businesses access to responsible capital, networks, and coaching, has launched the AOF Coaching Hub, a first-of-its-kind centralized business coaching platform. The AOF Coaching Hub connects small business owners with a variety of expert business coaches who provide comprehensive, customized, one-on-one business advising to small business owners across the country, at every step of their entrepreneurial journeys.

Through the AOF Coaching Hub, small business owners can schedule coaching sessions via phone or Zoom with just one click. AOF’s expert advisors are available to support small business owners on the most pressing challenges like business and startup strategy, certification and procurement, legal support, and financial management. In addition to free access to one-on-one business and financial advising, AOF’s business advising services also include timely educational webinars, virtual events to help small business owners navigate ongoing challenges, and digital educational content.

“The Coaching Hub offers us the opportunity to be the wind beneath the wings of small business owners, who remain heroes of our economy. This platform enables us to deliver innovative solutions to small business challenges, including a personalized blend of advising and financial assistance,” said Desha Elliott, Accion Opportunity Fund Business Advisor. “With a diverse set of coaches specializing in a range of sectors and small business issues, the Coaching Hub is a one-stop shop for entrepreneurs. Small business owners struggling to access advisory services, especially women and entrepreneurs of color, can now easily tap into AOF’s diverse network of experts to help them build and grow their business.”

Accion Opportunity Fund’s educational programming supports existing firms and budding small businesses—particularly those owned and operated by women and entrepreneurs of color. In 2021, AOF’s 24/7 online Business Resource Library attracted over a million visitors. The organization’s direct programming reached nearly 5,000 entrepreneurs, with more than 66% of participants identifying as women and roughly 75% identifying as people of color.

With the recent jump in small business startups, Accion Opportunity Fund is committed to supporting  America’s entrepreneurship renaissance by expanding its financial coaching and business education activities to reach over 2 million individuals by 2024.
