Gusto, a provider of cloud-based payroll, benefits and HR technology platform for small businesses, has deepened its integration with Clover, a First Data company.

“We are excited to deepen our relationship with Clover as they share our mission of creating a world where work empowers a better life,” said Mike Triantos, Head of Partnerships, Gusto. “Gusto and Clover are making it easier for small businesses to be a part of the future of work by empowering them to pay and include more Americans such as the millions of independent contractors that are joining the economy.”

As part of the enhanced partnership, Clover and Gusto will build a deeper technical integration to provide a seamless experience for small business owners, merchants and their accountant and bookkeeper-partners. Now, within the Clover network, and through an integrated platform, small businesses and their trusted partners will have easy access to payroll, benefits and human resources.

The enhanced integration with Gusto is the latest organization to join Clover’s developer platform network. Gusto has been a Clover partner since 2016.

Gusto’s mission is to create a world where work empowers a better life. By making the most complicated business tasks simple and personal, Gusto is reimagining payroll, benefits and HR for more than 60,000 businesses, or one percent of all employers nationwide.

Each year Gusto processes tens of billions of dollars of payroll and enables thousands of businesses to provide employee benefits like health insurance and 401(k) retirement plans and 529 college savings plans, many for the first time.
