The American Institute of CPAs has opened the enrollment period for the 2014 Accounting Competition, with a total of $40,000 in awards at stake. The fifth annual competition challenges teams of undergraduates to play the role of management accountants and combine their accounting and financial expertise with strategic insight to help guide business decisions.

UltraTax CS Wins Award From Kansas Secretary of State

UltraTax CS, the professional tax compliance system from Thomson Reuters, recently received a NASS Medallion Award from Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach. Report: Illinois Overdrew from Federal Medicaid Account

Illinois overdrew money from a federal Medicaid account by an average of $60 million per quarter over a three-year period because of "faulty" and "imprecise" practices, according to a federal audit released Monday.
