Ronsse to Serve as Next BKD North Region Managing Partner

After a thorough evaluation of numerous internal candidates, BKD selected Jeff Ronsse for the role, effective June 1, 2021.

Ronsse is well known throughout the firm for his strong work with clients, and has demonstrated his ability to teach and inspire BKDers in numerous roles, including an instructor at multiple BKD internal trainings, as an accounting and auditing director for the Oklahoma practice and most recently as managing partner of BKD’s Colorado-Salt Lake City practice. Jeff was also the 2004 employee PRIDE Award winner—one of the highest honors at BKD.

Ronsse joined BKD after he graduated from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, in 1999. Ronsse became a partner in 2012 and became the MP of the firm’s Colorado offices in 2017.

Frank Attalla Joins Eisneramper as a Partner in the Financial Services Group

EisnerAmper LLP is pleased to announce that Frank Attalla has joined the firm as a partner in the Financial Services Group.

Frank has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting and 20 years focused in the financial services sector. Frank provides audits of and consulting services for private investment companies, public mutual funds and closed-end funds, hedge funds, ETFs, private equity funds, fund of funds, investment management companies, in addition to introducing broker-dealers.

Prior to joining the firm, Frank was an audit partner with a Big 4 accounting firm and led audits of both public and private companies in the investment management sector.

Frank, who is based in EisnerAmper’s New York City headquarters, has a B.A. in Accounting from William Patterson University. A member of the American Institute of CPAs, he is an industry thought leader and frequent speaker.

National Association of Estate Planners & Councils

Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, CPAs (BLS) announced that the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC) recognized Jordon N. Rosen, CPA, AEP® as an entrant into the Estate Planning Hall of Fame® and as a recipient of the Accredited Estate Planner® (Distinguished) designation for 2020. This award was presented on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, by NAEPC leadership during a special virtual election ceremony.

Jordon is one of only seven estate planning professionals to receive this prestigious award in 2020, which is given annually in recognition of lifetime achievement and outstanding contributions to the practice and profession of estate planning within the professional disciplines of accounting, insurance and financial planning, law, philanthropy, trust services, and academia.

Jordon provides tax consulting and compliance services to the firm’s higher net worth clients and business owners. He is the Past President of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils (NAEPC) and has served as president of the Delaware Estate Planning Council and the Chester County, PA Estate Planning Council.

Jordon is also a member of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce tax committee, the AICPA Trust, Estate and Gift Tax Technical Resource Panel, the AICPA Tax Reform Resource Task Force, and the editorial board of Thomson Reuters Focus publication

Nathan Wechsler Principal Re-elected Chair of Local Non-Profit

The regional accounting firm of Nathan Wechsler & Company, PA is pleased to announce that Julie Greenwood, CPA was recently re-elected to serve as the Board Chair of Home Healthcare, Hospice & Community Services in Keene.

Greenwood joined Nathan Wechsler & Company in 1999. She specializes in a variety of areas, including medical practices, construction, family businesses, high net worth individuals, and taxation. She is a principal and serves as Director of the firm’s Keene office. Greenwood holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Keene State College. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants (NHSCPA).


Friedman Names Neil Levine and Lee Sheilds as Co-Managing Partners of South Jersey Offices

Friedman LLP, a leading accounting, tax, audit and advisory firm, announced today that Neil Levine and Lee Sheilds will serve as co-managing partners of the firm’s South Jersey offices, effective January 1, 2021.

The incoming co-managing partners reflect the substantive breadth of Friedman’s technical capabilities, as well as the firm’s commitment to collaboration. Working closely with current managing partner Carl Bagell, who will oversee the transition, Mr. Levine and Mr. Sheilds will assume responsibility for the South Jersey offices, including their strategic goals, performance and day-to-day activities, among other areas.

Mr. Levine, a partner in the audit practice with 30 years of experience, oversees client engagements involving both private and public companies. He has contributed to the major growth of the Firm’s Public Company Practice through his industry relationships and expertise working with companies preparing to go public.

Mr. Sheilds, a partner in Friedman’s tax practice, specializes in accounting and tax compliance. His diversified practice spans virtually every high-value sector, with a particular emphasis on income planning and tax preparation for corporations, partnerships and individuals, including their representation before state and federal authorities.
