Datarails, an AI finance operating system for the CFO’s office, has announced native integration with Google Sheets, extending its platform beyond Excel.
“Datarails FinanceOS has become the single source of truth for finance teams who build and manage their planning, reporting, and analysis in Excel,” the New York City-based company said in a media release on Oct. 1. “With this launch, that same governed source of truth is now available natively to organizations standardized on Google Workspace, including Google Sheets, without requiring finance teams to change how they work.”

“Most finance teams face a challenge of scattered spreadsheets reflecting several versions of the truth,” Didi Gurfinkel, co-founder and CEO of Datarails, said in a statement. “The tool may vary: whether it is Excel, or Google Sheets, Powerpoint and LLMs. What doesn’t change is that finance teams need a trusted data layer ensuring every AI output is accurate, governed, repeatable, and auditable. With Datarails now supporting Google Sheets for finance, they now have the confidence of FinanceOS behind every output.”
Inside Google Sheets, accounting and finance teams can now build financial documents using Datarails formulas directly in the sheet, with a full formula-building panel for managing functions and conditions. Teams can also create Datarails tables and reports natively, add their own custom columns that persist through every data refresh, and apply global filters so that only authorized data appears in a given sheet.

Datarails Unveils Ticketing System for Finance Teams
Every number stays live: figures update automatically as the underlying data changes, and any cell—including ones that merely reference a Datarails number—can be drilled into for the detailed records behind it, so questions about where a number came from can be answered without leaving the sheet, the company says.
Because the integration is native to Google Sheets, teams also get Datarails real-time co-editing, presence, and commenting through Sheets itself, allowing multiple people to work in the same connected workbook at once, with the option to export any view as static values when a frozen snapshot is needed.
Native support for Google Sheets is available now to Datarails customers. More information can be found here.
