Sorren, a Top 50 national tax, accounting, and advisory firm, has announced that Alta CPA Group, located in Annapolis, Maryland, and Zinman & Company, based in Southampton, Pennsylvania, have joined the organization. The additions further strengthen Sorren’s foothold and expand advisory and accounting services across the Mid-Atlantic region.

Alta CPA Group further bolsters Sorren’s nonprofit expertise and regional footprint. Since 2017, Alta has served nonprofit organizations, labor unions, and government entities with audit and assurance, nonprofit tax and automation tools that improve efficiency and reduce costs. Combined with Sorren’s broader accounting and advisory capabilities, clients will benefit from enhanced benchmarking, compliance support, and strategic guidance that helps them focus on long-term growth and impact.

For nearly four decades, Zinman & Company has provided tax, accounting, and advisory services to businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. Its outsourced accounting, payroll, and human resources services are provided under the separate brand Denovo HRConsulting & Business Advisory, while recruitment services are provided through De Novo Recruitment Agency.

“Both Zinman & Company and Alta CPA Group have built exceptional reputations by delivering trusted guidance and personalized service,” said Josh Tyree, CEO of Sorren. “Their deep client relationships, specialized expertise, and commitment to helping organizations succeed make them outstanding additions to Sorren as we continue to strengthen our national platform.”

“Throughout our history, we’ve focused on building lasting relationships and helping clients navigate important decisions with confidence,” said Mark Zinman, CPA, CITP, Managing Partner of Zinman & Company. “Joining Sorren allows us to expand the resources available to clients while continuing to provide the service they know and trust.”

“Many of the organizations we serve are working to create meaningful impacts in their communities while navigating increasing financial and regulatory complexity,” said Jeff Griffith, Managing Member of Alta CPA Group. “By joining Sorren, we’re enhancing our ability to support those organizations with broader expertise and additional resources while maintaining the personalized approach they’ve come to expect.”

Clients of both firms will continue working with their existing advisors while gaining access to expanded capabilities, including transaction advisory, business valuations, succession planning, and other specialized services.

The additions reflect Sorren’s continued focus on growing alongside firms that share its commitment to client service, technical excellence, and long-term relationships.
