Armanino said Tuesday the team from AppWrap, a leader in NetSuite optimization, implementation, and managed services for high-growth and private equity-backed companies, is joining the top 25 accounting firm.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
This is the San Ramon, CA-based firm’s fourth M&A deal in 2026. Armanino also added accounting firm MSTiller, Sales Tax Defense, and Step Up Consulting earlier this year.
Armanino received a minority investment in 2024 from Further Global Capital Management, a New York-based employee-owned private equity firm that makes investments in businesses within the financial services industry. Armanino said at the time that the investment supports its strategic growth into additional markets, improves the firm’s technology infrastructure, and provides additional resources.

Armanino says the combination with AppWrap expands its NetSuite practice and strengthens its ability to serve the full office of the CFO—from initial strategy and system design through implementation, integration, ongoing optimization, and support.
In addition, the firm says the deal strengthens Armanino’s position as a leading partner for PE-backed and high-growth companies navigating complex financial and operational challenges. AppWrap’s client base, nearly all of which is either publicly traded or backed by major private equity and venture capital firms, aligns directly with Armanino’s transaction advisory, tax, and CFO services capabilities, creating meaningful cross-sell opportunities across both platforms, officials say.

“AppWrap has built something exceptional: a vertically focused, technology-forward NetSuite practice with deep accounting expertise and an understanding of the unique needs of PE-backed and high-growth clients,” Matt Armanino, CEO of Armanino Advisory, said in a statement on Sept. 1. “Our certified, award-winning NetSuite experts go beyond implementing the service. They make NetSuite fit the business. By bringing the AppWrap team into Armanino, we’re adding a differentiated and scalable managed services model built on proactive optimization and automation, along with a client community that will benefit from the full depth of our office of the CFO capabilities.”
AppWrap was founded in Silicon Valley with a technology-first approach, building vast expertise in SaaS, software, and recurring revenue businesses. Armanino says these verticals complement its existing NetSuite client base in the manufacturing, professional services, and nonprofit sectors. Together, the combined practice covers the full scope of industries served by NetSuite, officials say.
AppWrap is co-led by John Rochefort and Orlan Davies, who acquired the firm in 2022 from its founder and transformed it from a founder-operated shop into an award-winning NetSuite Alliance Partner with a dedicated go-to-market team, proven delivery methodology, and industry-leading client satisfaction. With more than 115 managed services clients, a team of approximately 55 consultants, and a 98% customer retention rate, AppWrap delivers implementation, integrations, and ongoing ERP support as a scalable, seamless extension of its clients’ finance and operations teams.
“We chose Armanino because of how closely our values and vision align,” Rochefort said in a statement. “We’ve always believed that the office of the CFO deserves more than a legacy consulting model. It deserves a technology-forward partner who can automate, optimize, and scale alongside the business. Armanino is that firm. Joining with them accelerates by years what we set out to build and gives our clients access to the depth and resources of a national firm without losing the relationship-driven model they expect.”
Davies added, “This is ultimately about delivering more for our clients. Our team has always functioned as a seamless extension of the companies we serve, proactively managing their NetSuite environments, automating manual processes, and scaling with their growth. With Armanino’s capabilities behind us, we can go deeper into FP&A, transaction advisory, tax, and AI-enabled ERP strategy, all while maintaining the continuity and responsiveness our clients expect.”
Envoy Capital Advisors served as the exclusive advisors to the deal.
