Miklos Ringbauer, CPA, the founder of MiklosCPA, has been has been named Chair of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) Board of Directors as the organization’s 2026-27 term. MiklosCPA is an independent accounting and tax strategy firm based out of Southern California serving clients from offices in Los Angeles and Orange County.
Ringbauer has been active in CalCPA leadership for more than a decade, serving at both the local and state levels, including past president of the CalCPA Los Angeles Chapter, and has been involved with local CalCPA scholarship committees. As an educator, he teaches federal taxation at Orange Coast College, and he considers it most rewarding when former students return to share the strides they’ve made in their careers.
During his career, Miklos Ringbauer, CPA has been recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as a Top 100 Accountant (2025), Forbes Best in State List, written for TaxNotes and interviewed by CNBC and The Wall Street Journal, to name a few, on tax and accounting topics.
“A CPA license can be a foundation for far more than traditional accounting,” said Ringbauer. “Accounting is about solving puzzles. Every client brings a unique story and a new set of challenges. That’s what makes this profession so rewarding,” said Miklos Ringbauer.
A longtime CalCPA volunteer leader, educator and entrepreneur, Ringbauer has served in numerous leadership positions at both the chapter and statewide levels. During his term, he plans to focus on strengthening the accounting talent pipeline, increasing awareness of the CPA profession, and helping more students and professionals discover the benefits and career possibilities of becoming a CPA.
Ringbauer, who previously served as Vice Chair, will lead its efforts to keep California CPAs informed on developments in trust, estate, and gift tax law. He will guide the development of educational programs and technical resources for CalCPA members and represent the profession’s perspective on legislative and regulatory matters affecting estate planning, trusts, and wealth management.
A MiklosCPA founder since 2017, Ringbauer brings more than two decades of tax planning experience to the role. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. Miklos has a deep passion for accounting, participating in both professional service and educating the next generation of accountants. To share his experience and expertise, he teaches federal taxation at Orange Coast College and previously provided guidance for startup companies with the University of Southern California and California State University Dominguez Hills Incubator Programs. By educating both the entrepreneurs of today and the accountants of tomorrow, the goal of contributing to the growth of our communities is met with forward thinking companies grounded in solid financial knowledge and footing.
Miklos earned his Executive Masters in Business Administration at the University of Southern California and completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Irvine.
