Top 50 accounting firm Kaufman Rossin has launched Kaufman Rossin PE, a practice dedicated to providing private equity funds, fund managers, and their portfolio companies with a variety of services.
Kaufman Rossin PE supports deal teams, operating partners, and portfolio companies across the full deal lifecycle—from deal screening and valuation, through tax structuring and post-acquisition value creation, to exit.
The new practice also supports funds and fund managers, including setup and onboarding, fund accounting, year-end assurance and tax compliance, tax advisory, regulatory compliance, and wind-down, the firm says.
Kaufman Rossin’s wholly owned investment banking arm, Mary Street Capital, provides strategic M&A and corporate finance advisory to Kaufman Rossin PE’s clients.

“Many of the CPA and advisory firms competing for work in the PE space are owned by private equity,” Kaufman Rossin CEO Marc Feigelson said in a statement. “That means a fund, a fund manager, or a portfolio company is handing sensitive information to an advisor owned by another PE firm. Kaufman Rossin is still independent, objective, and partner-owned, and we plan to stay that way. That means our people are here for the long term, with no competing interest positioned above them.”
Kaufman Rossin PE and Mary Street Capital focus on lower-middle and middle-market private equity funds, fund managers, and portfolio companies. Industry-focused teams work across a variety of sectors, including real estate, technology and SaaS, healthcare and life sciences, business and professional services, manufacturing and distribution, and consumer products.
“Every year Kaufman Rossin serves hundreds of founder-owned businesses at all stages of their lifecycle,” Michael Fletcher, Kaufman Rossin PE’s lead partner, said in a statement. “We work daily with the types of companies PE funds are looking to acquire. We understand their needs, and their sponsors’ needs, and that translates into effective support at every stage.”
Founded in 1962, Kaufman Rossin provides traditional accounting, audit and tax services, and business, risk, and forensic advisory services to clients in dozens of countries.
