New York City-based Abacor, an AI-powered assistant for accounting firms, has launched its Claude Model Context Protocol connector to accountants worldwide.
Every meeting, contact, organization, and action item users have captured in Abacor is now accessible through natural conversation with Anthropic’s Claude—on the web, on desktop, or on mobile, says Abacor CEO and co-founder David Lam.
“No copying notes into a chat window. No re-explaining who a client is. No hunting through last month’s summaries to remember what you promised. You bring Claude into a conversation, and it already knows the relevant context,” Lam wrote in a blog post on June 1.
Once connected, Claude can:
- Pull up any past meeting: Summaries, action items, transcripts, and structured insights like decisions made, risks raised, and sentiment.
- Search across your entire meeting history for a topic, a phrase, or a commitment, and surface the moments that match.
- Look ahead at your upcoming calendar and tell you which meetings already have prep briefs and which don’t.
- Track action items across every engagement: what’s open, what’s due this week, what’s assigned to whom.
- Use Abacor’s MCP connector with your existing connectors: All your meeting context captured by Abacor can be used with other MCP connectors like Gmail, Intuit Quickbooks, Xero, Microsoft 365, and more.

Abacor Launches AI Assistant for Accounting Firms

“For accountants, advisors, and any team running on client relationships, the bottleneck has never been the work itself. It’s the surrounding load. Recalling what was said three meetings ago. Tracking what each Partner owes each client. Walking into a 9 a.m. call with no time to re-read the last summary. Updating someone who joined the engagement halfway through,” Lam wrote. “Abacor was built to capture that institutional memory automatically. The Claude integration makes it conversational. Instead of clicking through dashboards, you ask. Instead of digging for the right meeting, you say what you remember and Claude finds it. Instead of building a status update from scratch, you ask Claude to draft one from the last five touchpoints with a client, and it does.
“The other unlock is composition,” he added. “Because Claude can use multiple MCP servers in the same conversation, Abacor data can flow into the next step naturally: pulling your action items and drafting follow-up emails through Gmail, generating a client briefing as a Google Doc, or building a recap deck for your Partner meeting, all from one prompt.”
The following are a few prompts to try:
- “Using the monthly tax training sessions over the last year, create a mobile app to test my team’s knowledge.”
- “Based on the changes discussed with my client, Christian Wolff, update the general journals directly in the general ledger and generate updated financial statements.”
- “Using the new prospect meetings over the last six months, create a 10+ page playbook deck showing key insights from the meetings that converted to new clients and improvement opportunities for the ones we didn’t win.”
If you’re an existing Abacor customer, the Claude MCP is available now. Permissions follow your existing role in Abacor, so Claude can only see what you can see, Lam said.
