Recent Career Highlights
- Launched my own CPA firm, Juba Forensics PLLC, focused on forensic accounting and CFO level work for nonprofits.
- I was awarded the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce 4 under 40 for my work with nonprofits in the area.
- I was awarded the Fletcher Area of Business (FABA) Rookie of the Year award for my business growth.
- Finished my Doctorate of Business Administration, with my thesis on the staffing shortage in the accounting industry.
- Joined NCACPA’s Young Professional Cabinet and Education Resource Group.
- I have served on multiple panels as a CPA and have been invited to present at NCACPA’s nonprofit conference in June 2026.
- I was accepted into Syracuse University’s Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans at the University of Connecticut in August 2025. I won a business pitch competition, received $5,000 for my business, and was invited to return in July 2026 to speak and engage fellow veterans.
What are you doing to make a difference in the profession, your community, the world?
I am a board member at the Veterans’ Healing Farm, a local nonprofit aimed at ending veteran suicide. I am also a board member and treasurer for the Blue Ridge Honor Flight, a local nonprofit, helping fly veterans from western North Carolina to DC to receive honors for the day. I volunteer and work with Transylvania County’s MJROTC program. I run a mentorship program for accountants. I enjoy educating others on the accounting industry by speaking and delivering presentations locally at high schools, serving on panels, or presenting to the business community about how good accounting can make a difference.
