Armanino said Wednesday it has launched TaxAdvantage, which the top 20 accounting firm said is a one-stop technology platform designed to solve the pain points of corporate tax management.

Developed in-house by Armanino’s tax technology and client experience teams, TaxAdvantage unites every aspect of the tax engagement—from data collection and communication to deliverable tracking and analytics—within one secure digital environment.

“Corporate tax professionals have long faced a maze of disconnected tools, endless email threads, and manual spreadsheets that make collaboration and version control difficult. Tight filing deadlines often collide with limited visibility into status updates and document ownership, while the growing complexity of corporate tax requirements adds another layer of stress and inefficiency. The result is a process defined by chasing documents, managing silos, and scrambling for updates instead of focusing on strategic tax planning,” the firm said in a Jan. 14 media release. “The TaxAdvantage platform provides a single source of truth for both clients and Armanino teams, reducing complexity and ensuring greater accuracy throughout the process.”

Christy Calderon

Christy Calderon, a partner at Armanino, said the firm’s new tax platform was designed with its clients at the core.

“This technology enables seamless collaboration, efficient project management, and access to valuable insights—all aimed at delivering greater clarity and confidence,” she said in a statement. “As the platform evolves, we look forward to continuing to enhance the experience and create even more value for those we serve.”

TaxAdvantage allows both Armanino teams and clients to track returns, requests, and due dates from a single interface, with core capabilities including:

  • Client dashboard: A personalized view of tax projects, engagement action markers, and summary insights.
  • Live tax calendar: Real-time visibility into key filing deadlines, due dates, and return status.
  • Data collection/PBC module: Simplifies document submission and tracking to reduce back-and-forth.
  • Notice tracker: AI-enabled automation to analyze and centralize tracking of notices from tax authorities.
  • Deliverables hub: A central repository for Armanino work products, including tax returns, deliverables, and supporting documents.
  • Communication hub: Replaces legacy tools with secure, in-platform messaging.

TaxAdvantage includes several AI-powered features, most notably notice management, which digitizes and analyzes notices from tax authorities to reduce manual effort.

In a coming update, AI-enabled document mapping will automatically identify and organize client files, matching them to the right requests. This shift from manually completing request lists one item at a time will deliver significantly better client experience and accelerate turnaround times, Armanino said.
