The tax and accounting branch of Thomson Reuters has acquired the continuing professional education and CPA exam preparation division of Bisk Education, Inc. Bisk is one of hte largest providers of online education and professional continuing education.
The best-known brand of Bisk’s Continuing Professional Education and Test Prep includes CPEasy, which offers a comprehensive set of CPE courses and subscription packages that CPAs can use to maintain their licenses. Also included in the acquisition is CPA Review, which covers the four areas tested for the universal CPA examination.
The acquisition will expand Thomson Reuter’s Checkpoint Learning solution, adding mroe than 300 online CPE courses and 100 webinars. Combined, the solution will provide professionals with a comprehensive set o learning solutions.
“Bisk Continuing Professional Education and Test Prep will be managed as a key product line of Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting learning Solutions business,” said Ken Koskay, vice president of Learning Solutions for Thomson Reuteres. “We’re excited that the Bisk product line includes a suite of CPA Review products that have not previously been available from Checkpoint Learning.”
Checkpoint Learning provides CPE compliance tracking, learning management and curriculum development. Users can purchase and complete courses individually or as a part of a subscription package.

The Bisk staff joining Thomson Reuters will continue to be headquartered in Tampa, Florida. Customers should continue to use the same phone and email contacts to reach company represpentatives.
