Career Highlights
This year, I stepped into an expanded role at World Vision, where I oversee the Single Audit and NICRA proposals with the U.S. government. One of my most meaningful recent career highlights was traveling to Uganda to facilitate a grant compliance workshop with field office staff and subgrantees—it brought together my heart for global impact and my love for making learning practical. I genuinely enjoy taking complex topics and making them engaging and digestible; there’s nothing better than seeing those “aha” moments when learning clicks.

I’ve also spent time enhancing processes and partnering with global colleagues to improve efficiency and share knowledge. Each day my goals are to create clarity, move something forward, and invest in someone—trusting that faithfulness in these areas leads to greater impact and ultimately more children served.

Outreach Beyond the Firm

I’m grateful for opportunities to serve both the accounting profession and the broader community. I serve on the AICPA Not-for-Profit Advisory Council and the planning committee for the AICPA Not-for-Profit Industry Conference, where I get to help shape conversations around the biggest challenges facing the sector. I also serve as Board Treasurer for Home of Hope Ministries, an orphanage in Uganda that cares for children with disabilities. These roles give me a chance to invest in others, build meaningful connections, and support work that’s deeply mission-driven.

Current Professional Reading / Listening:

I tend to gravitate toward books that are practical, encouraging, and easy to apply in real life. I often think of them in terms of seasons:

  • In a season of waiting: How to Lead When You’re Not in Charge by Clay Scroggins or How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
  • In a season of doubt: Failing Forward by John C. Maxwell or You Are the Girl for the Job by Jess Connolly
  • In a season of growth: High Performance Habits by Brendon Burchard or Good Leaders Ask Great Questions by John C. Maxwell
  • In any season: Your Best Year Ever by Michael Hyatt or Multipliers by Liz Wiseman

I also love TED Talks for quick, thought-provoking insights I can put into practice right away.
