Sorren Adds Hess & Rohmer in Texas

Gainesville, TX-based CPA and advisory firm Hess & Rohmer has joined Sorren, expanding the top 100 accounting firm's presence in the Lone Star State.

Gainesville, TX-based CPA and advisory firm Hess & Rohmer has joined Sorren, expanding the top 100 accounting firm’s presence in the Lone Star State.

Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Sorren was formed in 2025 through the combination of leading regional firms and private equity backing, with a mission to build a forward-thinking, nationally connected firm that remains deeply rooted in local markets.

Sorren has one other Texas office in Houston.

“From the beginning, it was clear our firms share a common approach to serving clients and supporting our people,” Josh Tyree, who recently took over as Sorren’s CEO after serving as the firm’s president, said in a statement on Jan. 27. “Together, we’re strengthening our ability to serve Texas businesses with the personal attention of a local firm backed by the reach and resources of a national network.”
