Syracuse, NY-based FustCharles, an INSIDE Public Accounting top 400 firm based on revenue, has completed an M&A deal with Stephen J. Flood CPA PLLC, an accounting practice based in Latham, NY, effective Jan. 1.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
FustCharles said this strategic expansion marks a significant milestone for the firm as it broadens its geographic footprint across Upstate New York—with offices now in Syracuse, Rochester, and the Capital Region.

Tom Giufre, tax partner at FustCharles, said the firm is excited to welcome Stephen Flood and his entire team to FustCharles.
“Their long-standing reputation, strong client relationships, and commitment to high-quality service align seamlessly with our firm’s values and strategic direction,” he said in a statement. “Expanding into the Capital Region represents a significant milestone for us and reinforces our focus on deepening our talent bench and attracting top-tier professionals.”
Established in 1984, FustCharles provides audit, tax, and advisory services to businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and individual clients across a wide range of industries. It’s an independent member of BDO Alliance USA, a nationwide association of independently owned local and regional accounting, consulting, and service firms with similar client service goals.
The firm had revenue of $15.2 million during its most recent fiscal year, according to INSIDE Public Accounting.
