John holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oral Roberts University and an Executive MBA from the University of Tennessee, and he has been a certified public accountant since 1989. As a CPA, John has considerable experience in public and private accounting for the technology industry. 

Jared Ballew is a 22-year veteran of the tax industry, currently serving both Drake Software and TaxAct as Taxwell’s Vice President of Government and Industry Relations. Jared is an expert in liaising and building relationships with federal and state governments, industry and professional associations, and other partners. He served as the 2022 – 2023 Chairman of the IRS Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee and is the President of the National Association of Computerized Tax Processors (NACTP), a trade association of the top income tax, information reporting, and payroll software companies that collaborate to promote standardization and simplification between government tax agencies and the tax processing industry. He also serves on the board of directors of the Council for Electronic Revenue Communication Advancement (CERCA) which provides a forum and a liaison point between the IRS and tax industry. Jared is a popular speaker and advisor due to his expansive knowledge of current tax policies, cybersecurity, and industry trends. 

Taylor Rodier is the Legislative Affairs Manager at Taxwell, where she focuses on policy advocacy and legislative strategy. She holds an M.A. in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University and a B.A. in Political Science from Wingate University. Taylor brings strong experience in government relations, policy research, and stakeholder engagement. She is passionate about advancing informed, strategic solutions in public policy.

Gail Perry is the editor-in-chief of CPA Practice Advisor. A veteran of accounting journalism, she also speaks at many accounting events, trade shows, and webinars.
