Career Highlights
Over the past year, I have focused on scaling Outlook Tax and Advisory while continuing to invest in innovation and leadership development. I led the expansion of the firm to more than 50 professionals across the United States and internationally, strengthening our ability to serve clients while creating career opportunities both domestically and abroad.
A major milestone was the opening of two new offices in Kingsley and Remsen, Iowa, expanding our presence in the Midwest and allowing us to preserve and grow accounting services in local communities. Internationally, I established a new office in Surat, India, which now supports more than 25 professionals and serves as a cornerstone of our global operating model.
I also launched a dedicated Financial Planning & Analysis practice, broadening our advisory capabilities beyond traditional tax and accounting services. As part of this effort, I have been leading the development of proprietary FP&A technology that delivers customized dashboards and actionable insights for our clients, helping business owners make more informed decisions through real-time financial visibility.
To support our continued growth, I expanded our leadership team by bringing on Chris Egner as Chief Operating Officer and Chong Yi as FP&A Director. Together, we are building a scalable organization focused on innovation, client success, and developing the next generation of accounting professionals.
What are you doing to make a difference in the profession, your community, the world?
Beyond my firm, I remain committed to creating a positive impact on the profession, my community, and the next generation of leaders. As President of the Chicago Chapter of the Association of Croatian American Professionals, I help foster professional development, cultural exchange, and educational opportunities while mentoring students and young professionals through both ACAP and DePaul University’s mentorship programs. I regularly provide guidance on career development, interview preparation, leadership, and resume building to help emerging professionals confidently enter the workforce.
I also contribute to industry conversations through speaking engagements and podcasts, including discussions on how artificial intelligence is reshaping the future of accounting and tax services.
In memory of my late dog Bastian, I established the “Through Basti’s Eyes” scholarship through the School for Field Studies, helping students pursue environmental conservation and sustainability programs around the world. Whether through mentorship, education, or philanthropy, my goal is to create opportunities that empower others to grow, lead, and make a meaningful difference in their communities.
