Baldwin CPAs is expanding its presence in central Kentucky by merging in Humphrey & Co., PLLC in Lexington. The firm currently has an office in Lexington, KY. By merging with Humphrey & Company, the firm will expand their existing presence by adding four new employees including one new partner. The current Baldwin CPAs office will relocate to the existing Humphrey & Company office, located on Majestic Drive.

“We are excited about joining Baldwin CPAs because it ensures the continued success of our clients and staff,” said Chris Humphrey, managing member of Humphrey & Company, PLLC. The team at Humphrey & Company has over fifty years of experience in accounting, tax and management consulting services in a wide variety of industries.

“We are excited to add the team from Humphrey & Company to our team. The synergies of the two firms are great. We have strategically been seeking an office in the Lexington area and this merger fulfills that part of our plan,” said Alan Long, managing member of Baldwin CPAs, PLLC. “We look forward to expanding the service offerings to the Humphrey & Company clients and to grow the office in the Lexington market. We welcome Chris Humphrey as a partner in Baldwin and also the great staff that his firm has.”

Baldwin CPAs’ services include, but are not limited to, accounting for businesses and individuals, bookkeeping and payroll, tax planning and preparation, audits, business valuations, certified fraud examinations, forensic accounting and litigation services, employee benefit plan audits and wealth services.

“At a time when the country’s largest firms dominate the merger frenzy, Baldwin continues to show that mergers can also be a great growth strategy for smaller and  mid-size firms as well,” said Allan D. Koltin, CEO of Koltin Consulting Group, who advised both firms on the merger. “Baldwin is quickly becoming one of Kentucky’s larger firms and demonstrating a great track record of successfully integrating numerous mergers. Chris Humphrey has a great reputation in the Lexington market and he will be a great addition to the Baldwin firm.”
