PwC appoints new leader for U.S. Advisory Services

Everson succeeds former U.S. Advisory Leader Dana Mcilwain, who is now PwC US Services Leader

On Monday, PwC US named Miles Everson as its U.S. Advisory Services Leader. Everson will oversee more than 10,000 PWC staff who are focused on consulting, deals and forensics services the Big 4 accounting and audit firm offers its business clients.

“We are pleased to announce Miles as PwC’s U.S. Advisory leader.  Miles has made significant contributions to the firm and its stakeholders during his long and distinguished career with PwC. He has held a variety of leadership roles and served some of our largest global clients,” PwC U.S. chairman and senior partner Bob Moritz said in a statement.

“The diversity of Miles’ leadership experiences makes him uniquely prepared to lead the Advisory practice as it continues to evolve to meet changing market demands.  We also extend deep appreciation to Dana for his tremendous contributions to our Advisory business over the years and his ability to mobilize our growing business to best serve the needs of our clients.”

Everson succeeds Dana Mcilwain, PwC partner and Vice Chair, who has been promoted to the new position of PwC Services Leader. He previously served on the firm’s U.S. Advisory leadership team as Advisory Financial Services Leader, and earlier as Advisory Banking & Capital Markets Sector co-leader.  He was also PwC’s Global Advisory Risk Consulting Leader, focused on helping large complex organizations with enterprise governance and risk management programs.  With over 25 years of professional services experience, he currently works with some of the largest organizations in the world.

“I am excited to have this opportunity to lead our Advisory practice at such a unique inflection point in time for today’s businesses.  Achieving growth in today’s complex, global business environment means having the right strategy to navigate risks, and also achieve and maintain competitive advantage,” said Miles Everson, PwC’s new U.S. Advisory Leader. “We remain committed to our Advisory strategy of helping clients with their most pressing business objectives, from strategy through execution.”

In Mcilwain’s new leadership role, he will oversee PwC’s three lines of service — Assurance, Advisory and Tax – to drive a unified strategy across the firm. He will also continue to focus on the continued development of Advisory’s global operating model as a member of the Global Advisory Leadership Team.
