Rick Richardson Announces Retirement

Most recently the CEO and founder of the consultancy Richardson Media & Technologies, Rick worked for Ernst & Young for 28 years, including as the firm's national director of technology.

Rick Richardson has announced his retirement from the accounting profession. The CPA, who also holds the CITP and CGMA certifications from the AICPA, has been a familiar face to generations of accounting professionals from his frequent keynote speaking engagements at trade shows and conferences across the nation for more than 40 years.

Most recently the CEO and founder of the consultancy Richardson Media & Technologies, Rick worked for Ernst & Young for 28 years, including as the firm’s national director of technology. He was inducted into the Accounting Hall of Fame by CPA Practice Advisor in 2012, has been named to the AICPA’s Technology 100, and has been included in Accounting Today’s 100 Most Influential People in Accounting several times. He also was a member of CPA Practice Advisor‘s Thought Leader Symposium since its inception.

Richardson was a regular speaker at conferences around the world, including annual events in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and New Jersey, as well as at AICPA Engage.
